親手喂食野生七彩鸚鵡
(每天9:45am, 4:00pm)
龍柏考拉園周圍生活著美麗的野生七彩鸚鵡，龍柏一天兩次會在餵食時間會喂給它們特殊食物，含有燕麥、穀物和豐富維他命礦物質。遊客還可機會在腳邊看到前來的澳洲水龙蜥。七彩鸚鵡叫聲洪亮，因羽毛有紅黃藍綠色而聞名。它們特有的舌頭可以汲取花蜜花粉。夏天的時候，還可以看到七彩鸚鵡在龍柏噴泉中沐浴玩耍。
Wild Lorikeet Feeding
-- The
wild lorikeets lucky enough to live around Lone Pine get to enjoy a special
lorikeet mix at feeding times. This complete nectar provides the birds with
a healthy meal of oats, cereals, vitamins and minerals to supplement their
natural diet. Keep a look out throughout the day for all sorts of different
bird species that visit our beautiful natural surroundings. The grounds are
also home to a large group of Eastern Water Dragons that like to mingle with
our guests. The rainbow lorikeet is known for its distinctive loud screech
and green, blue, yellow and red feathers. Lorikeets are one of the few
parrots that eat mainly nectar and pollen and therefore need a special diet.
They have specialised brush-tipped tongues for feeding on nectar and soft
fruits. They can feed from the flowers of about 5,000 species of plants and
use their specialised tongues to take the nectar. The tip of their tongues
have tufts of papillae (extremely fine hairs), which collect nectar and
pollen. In summer, you will also see lorikeets taking a bath at Lone Pine's
water fountain.

Sheep Dog Show

sure you check out Lone Pine's Aussie sheep dog show, held 3 times a day,
inside the Nature Kingdom. See the amazing skills of the hardworking sheep
dogs as they command the sheep around the paddock for their master,
responding to finely tuned whistles, calls and hand signals. Our
experienced, award-winning sheep dog handlers, Alan, Graeme & Geoff, perform
the show with their loyal sheep dogs from the outback. Keep an eye out for
the gorgeous Phoebe, the Australian kelpie used for yard work at Lone Pine.
Phoebe is a crowd favourite and is always ready for photo opportunities and
cuddles!

Feeding kangaroos

In the 2 hectare
(5 acre) Kangaroo reserve, over 130 kangaroos and wallabies hop about
eagerly awaiting their daily hand-feeding by visitors. With 5 different
species of kangaroos and wallabies, plus some emus, you can spend all day
feeding these majestic creatures. Keep an eye out for joeys inside or out of
the pouch! Food can be purchased from the general store located across from
the koala cuddle area. Eastern Grey Kangaroo, Red Kangaroo, Swamp wallaby,
Red neck Wallaby & some friendly Emus live in our Kangaroo Reserve.

on earth that you will enjoy an encounter with koalas like that presented at
Lone Pine. With around 130 adult koalas and joeys (baby koalas), two keeper
talks a day, and koala cuddles and photos all day long, you will not leave
disappointed. Cuddle a koala and have your photo taken

Hugging a koala
is easy by following these steps
1. Stand facing a koala handler
2. Place your hands on top of each other, and in front of your body at your
waist height
3. Keep your hands together while the handler places a koala on you.
4. Be "a tree" and support the koala's weight by standing still and have
your hands under the koala at all times
5. "Big smile!"- Your magic moment with one of Lone Pine's 130 koalas is
caught on the camera!
新南威爾士州1997年起禁止抱考拉，但是昆士蘭州仍然允許。昆士蘭規定每天每隻考拉被抱的時間不得超過30分鐘，每三天還要休息一天。這給考拉充足進食和睡眠時間。龍柏考拉園我們都幫我們的考拉打卡上班，打卡下班。
Banned in NSW
Koala cuddling has been banned in New South Wales since 1997, but cuddling
is still permitted in Queensland. In Queensland, koalas can only be cuddled
for less than 30 minutes per day. They must also get every third day off.
This ensures that they get plenty of time to eat and sleep. At Lone Pine, we
"clock on" and "clock off" our koalas when they go to the koala cuddling
area.

Free Flight Raptor Show

Come join us for
a close encounter with some of Australia’s most unique and charismatic birds
of prey in our free flight show. This entertaining and informative display
focuses on raptors – those birds that seize prey with powerful feet equipped
with razor-sharp talons. Be delighted as the barn owls float over your head
and the barking owls whiz on by. Be thrilled with the agility of the kites
and be amazed at the size and strength of the eagles. There may even be an
opportunity to be part of the show. For those who are keen for a really
close encounter with birds of prey, we offer a photo opportunity holding
some of these amazing birds on a gloved hand – just like the keepers.

Snake Keeper Talk

Come and meet one
of our scaly friends and their keeper at our snake presentation at 1:30pm.
The audience are encouraged to ask lots of questions and come and feel the
smooth scales of the reptiles. Our pythons have been trained since they were
hatchlings here at Lone Pine and are friendly and safe for customers to
hold. We have a few different pythons on the roster for you to hold
including: olive python, black-headed python, jungle carpet python & diamond
python. To ensure your safety, please follow instruction by the friendly
reptile keeper and ask as many questions as you like! If you have a fear of
snakes this is the perfect way to help overcome it.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is 12km from
Brisbane City, which is about a 15-minute drive.
For best directions, enter our address into Google Maps on your phone. We
are a listed attraction on all the major GPS hardware.
